For lovers of dogs and art
Inquire venueRepresentatives of almost all generations of the Lobkowicz family have been lovers of dogs since the 16th century, documenting pictures in this room, mostly from the 17th and 18th centuries. Dogs were an integral part of family portraits, an example being a picture of 1585, where a small Spaniard sat in a chair beside Polyxena, 1st Princess of Lobkowicz (1566-1642). The dog is also shown on the portrait of Martin Lobkowicz (born in 1929), the current head of the family.
